A couple photoshoot in Dubai that feels like you
A couple photoshoot in Dubai should feel like an evening set aside for each other, not a performance for the camera. We look for the chemistry that is already there: the way you lean in, the joke only the two of you get, the quiet after a laugh. Most of the session is candid, with gentle direction when you want it, so the photos look like you with an editorial touch.
Couples book for different reasons. Some want an engagement photoshoot in Dubai before the invitations go out. Others plan a pre-wedding photoshoot in Dubai for save-the-dates and welcome signs, or simply to get used to the camera before the big day. An anniversary shoot is a good excuse to be photographed together properly, maybe for the first time since the wedding.
If the question hasn't been asked yet, our proposal photography keeps the photographer out of sight until the ring appears. Once the date is set, wedding photography and film covers the day itself.
How the session runs
You plan it in the online planner: photos, video or both, a package or hours, who photographs you, the date, the time of day and the location. Sadiya reviews every request herself and replies within 24 hours with availability and a tailored quote.
On the day we start slowly. A few minutes of walking and talking settles most nerves, and the better frames tend to come once you forget about the lens. We give simple prompts (walk towards us, whisper something, look at each other rather than at the camera) and leave room for whatever happens next. Want a short film as well? Add a videographer or a highlight video.
Where and when to shoot
Light decides most things in Dubai. Golden hour, the last stretch before sunset, gives warm, soft skin tones. Sunrise is quieter, with empty promenades and cool sand. In the cooler months, roughly October to April, almost any outdoor setting works. In summer, an early start or an indoor location keeps you comfortable.
- Desert couple shoot: open dunes, long shadows and fabric moving in the wind.
- Beach: The Beach at JBR, or a quieter stretch of sand at first light.
- Old Dubai: Al Seef and the abras on Dubai Creek, full of texture and warm colour.
- Skyline: Burj Khalifa views in Downtown, or the waterfront at Dubai Creek Harbour.
- Somewhere personal: a hotel, a yacht, your home or the café where you met. We sort out permits and logistics where they're needed.
Dubai has no travel fee, while shoots in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah carry one.
What to wear
Coordinate rather than match. Pick two or three colours that suit the setting: sand, cream and white in the desert, soft blues by the sea, deeper tones against the city. Skip large logos and busy prints. If your session runs an hour or more, bring a second outfit, and wear shoes you can walk in between spots. A long dress or a loose linen shirt catches the wind beautifully in the dunes.

Anywhere that suits the two of you. The planner offers desert, beach, city, park, hotel, yacht, home or a studio session, and you can suggest a place of your own. For texture, try Al Seef and the abras on Dubai Creek; for the skyline, Burj Khalifa views in Downtown or the waterfront at Dubai Creek Harbour. We arrange permits and logistics where they are needed.
That is a very normal feeling at the start. We begin with easy movement, walking, talking and a little distance, and give simple prompts instead of stiff poses. Once you are focused on each other rather than the lens, the natural moments follow. If you are especially nervous, an hour-long session gives you more time to settle before the frames that matter most.
Work back from your print date. Sneak peeks arrive within 48 hours and full galleries typically take 5-7 working days, so a session a month or so before your cards are due leaves time to choose and design. Express delivery is available if you are short on time. Tell us what the images are for and we will include some wider frames with space for text.
Yes. Choose desert as your location and sunrise or golden hour as the time in the planner. Both give soft, low light across the dunes, and sunrise is the cooler option for most of the year. Wear shoes you can walk on sand in, bring a layer for winter mornings, and pick outfits that move in the wind. We arrange permits and logistics where needed.
Of course. An anniversary shoot follows the same approach as any couple session, with more shared history to draw on. You might return to where you got engaged, recreate a favourite old photo, or bring the children in for the last part. If family will join, mention it in your request so we plan the time, and consider a longer session for two settings.
Yes. Add a videographer for footage alongside the photos, or a highlight video for a short edit to play at the wedding or share with family. You can also choose video in the planner from the start. A female videographer is available on request.
