A family photoshoot in Dubai at your family's pace
A family photoshoot in Dubai works best when nobody has to sit still for long. We follow the children's lead, keep things moving, and watch for the small connections: a hand on a shoulder, a sibling whispering a secret, a grandparent laughing at something just out of frame. There's gentle direction for a few group portraits, but most of the photos come from play.
Sessions suit new parents, big extended families and everyone in between. Our family photographers are based in Dubai and work across the UAE, so the same approach travels to Abu Dhabi or Sharjah, where shoots carry a travel fee. In a city where many families live far from their relatives, these photos tend to travel: printed for grandparents, framed in a hallway, shared in the family group chat. Expecting another baby? Pair this with maternity photography before the birth.
Photographing toddlers and kids
Young children have short windows of patience, so we plan around them:
- Timing: book around naps and meals. For little ones, a morning session is often happier than a late one.
- Warm-up: chasing, spinning and piggyback rides come before anything posed.
- Comforts: keep snacks, water and a favourite toy close, just out of shot.
- No pressure: tears happen. We pause, let them reset and carry on.
- Spare clothes: pack a change for anyone likely to end up in the sea or the sand.
For toddlers, a short session is often plenty. Older children tend to need a little longer to warm up and start enjoying themselves.
Beach, park or an at-home family session
A beach family photoshoot in Dubai is the classic choice. The Beach at JBR is lively towards sunset, while any stretch of sand at sunrise is cooler and emptier, and children can paddle before the heat builds. Golden hour gives the warmest light but brings more people.
Parks and gardens, Dubai Miracle Garden among them, give colour and room to run. Al Seef adds heritage walls and the creek for families who want a setting with more character.
An at-home family session records the life you actually live: breakfast in pyjamas, story time on the sofa, the chaos of getting everyone out of the door. Home is also where very young children feel most at ease, and it keeps you out of the summer heat. Morning light through a big window is often the loveliest at home. A studio session is an option too.
Seasonal family photos
Eid, Christmas and New Year are natural moments for seasonal family photos, for cards, gifts for grandparents or simply marking another year in the UAE. There's no special seasonal package; the regular packages work for any occasion. These dates fall in peak season, roughly October to April, so book 2-3 months ahead if you have a particular weekend in mind. For a card deadline, express delivery gets the photos to you sooner.
Choosing a package
Pick by the ages and number of people. The packages above set out what each one includes, with current prices, from a short session for little ones to longer coverage for extended families or two locations. For regular dates, book 2-4 weeks ahead. Sneak peeks come within 48 hours, and every package includes a private online gallery with download access.

What people ask us before they book, answered plainly
Yes, if you choose the time well. At sunrise the sand is cooler and emptier, and children can paddle before the heat builds. The Beach at JBR is lively towards sunset, and golden hour gives the warmest light but brings more people. For toddlers, a morning session is often happier than a late one.
Not at all; it is what we plan for. We keep the session moving, take the posed group photo while everyone is fresh, and photograph the running around in between. Book a time that fits naps, bring snacks and a favourite toy, and leave the silliness to us. At that age, a short session is often enough.
Choose a palette of two or three soft colours and let each person wear a different mix, rather than identical outfits. Avoid big logos and cartoon characters. Children should be comfortable enough to sit on the floor or run on sand, so bring a spare set for the beach. Dress the youngest last so their outfits stay clean until we start.
Yes. Tell us how many people are coming in your request so we can plan groupings and timing. Larger families usually need a longer session to cover each household as well as the whole group. For a big gathering, an extra photographer lets one of us focus on candid moments while the other runs the group shots.
Yes, home is one of the locations in the planner. We look for rooms with good daylight, so a morning or afternoon slot works best; open the curtains and clear a little floor space. You do not need a styled house, because the lived-in details are part of the story. It is a good choice in summer and for shy children.
There is no special seasonal package, but any regular package works for Eid, Christmas or New Year photos. A short session is a good fit for cards. These dates fall in peak season, so book 2-3 months ahead, and add express delivery if you have a print deadline.
